1. …I live in Bristol, and this pictures reminds me of the view outside my window, the rolling hills and the occasional random balloon. There is a Circus in town this week, thought I doubt there will be any elephants there (hoping not), but we also have a zoo just around the corner so the rhino and elephant feel quite at home in this story too. I wish I could find more associations…well here is one at a stretch. Just before the hills there is an area called Hotwells, which actually was once a spa with hot wells, I imagine that’s what the sometimes gushing mound shapes surrounded by water are in this picture. Like mini whales…Outside there is some tension playing out, perhaps a memory. We are “safe” inside with our own dramas and faithful pet, Sid, I love this picture.

    I attended the ART FROM THE NEW WORLD exhibition at Bristol Museum, and was lucky enough to have a tour by Richard Scarey the Director. It was a fantastic exhibition in a very welcoming and unique setting.
