FREEDOM is best known for painting in abandoned subway tunnels in New York during the 70′s & 80′s. Working amidst the homeless (” mole people”) living in the tunnels, FREEDOM painted for 16 years. In his honor, the tunnels were named after him and are now known as “The Freedom Tunnels”. FREEDOM recently
re-created work from the tunnels in the MoCA “Art In The Streets” exhibition.
